I have made multiple types of candle holders including stone and driftwood.
The most popular candle holder has been stone cairn pillar candle holders. A stack of stones about 5-6 inches high is topped with a slightly elevated metal plate held by a short rod. The plates are slightly cupped to prevent candles from tipping. The plates do not have any sharp points that are sometimes used to hold wax candles. This allows you to also use these for LED candles.
I’ve also made a variety of candle holders for votive size candles.
And some with metal hurricane holder and natural wood base.
