Wall Clocks

I’ve made a few varieties of wall clocks. My favorite style is a large piece of basswood with a live edge that has been treated with danish oil. The clock face is made by using accent stones coated in epoxy resin. Simple black hands let the natural rustic features stand out.

Driftwood clocks are another fun project. It’s interesting finding the right pieces of driftwood to fit together. Stone accents are used for the quarter hour marks. An interesting feature of these clocks is the use of small driftwood twigs stained gray as hour hands.

The last type of clock project I’ve worked on is epoxy resin clocks. Resin with mica powder dye colors the resin. Stones are used to mark the hours. Various accent pieces have been used from driftwood hands to decals.
